A sign of an excellent photographer, for me as a client, is wanting to do more than one session with them. I have had the pleasure of doing three photography sessions with Canute and plan to schedule future sessions. What makes shooting with Canute worth it? Let me list the reasons I am a return client and would refer my friends to shoot with him. I have shot in different locations, environments, and atmospheres with Canute. Before I even get in front of his camera, he asks what I am looking to get out of the shoot, what is my vision for the shoot, and what I am comfortable with shooting. After we have come to an agreement on what the vision of the shoot is, put it on the books, we arrive at the shoot date. I will note I am an experienced model, so I don't need much direction when it comes to posing or facial expressions. That said, he is willing to offer suggestions if the model has a vision in mind. He wants to make sure the painted picture in the model's mind will come through his photographic lens and editing. During the shoot, if Canute needs to shift anything in the space, he will ask if it is okay. He asks before moving to stand above a client for a specific photographic angle. This is to ensure the model is okay with that because the space between a photographer and the model is and can be very intimate. He asks before touching hair or clothing, if it is okay for him to adjust it for the shot. He listens to his clients. One of his top priorities is ensuring the safety and comfort of his clients and I appreciate every time he has checked in with me during shoots to make sure I am comfortable. After the shoot is concluded, Canute lets me know when to expect the final album of our shoot. I have loved every final product I have received from Canute photography and plan to purchase prints from them. I definitely recommend Canute photography to my friends who are looking to book a boudoir shoot.
